Nature Nurture

Image result for define nature nurture

Nature:  Refers to the human traits one gets biologically
through their parents and cannot be altered or
changed in any way.

Nurture: (environment) It is debate whether we are
influenced by genes or the our surroundings.

Nature vs. Nurture : is a debate.

EXAMPLES OF NATURE:
1. Those who would argue that nature is largely to thank for the individual’s ability to achieve greatness might point to his or her parents and use their level of intelligence as a reason for why he or she is so successful. Perhaps the child developed early skills quickly and the quote " like mother, like daughter or Like father like son".
2. If your parents messed up and made bad decisions most kids blame there parents for there own mistakes because they think that they can get away with it because there parents have done it.

3. Say there is a good basketball player and he is very tall... his teammates and him would say that he is so good because his dad was tall and passed that down to his son.

4. Dominate traits from your parents are also a example of nature.. say your mom has blonde hair, blue eyes then you would have blonde hair blue eyes also.

5. As a  kid into a family that is very wealthy you have a better shot at getting an education vs someone who was raised in a family that was not very wealthy, would struggle getting an education.

EXAMPLES OF NURTURE:
1. Those who would argue that a child's intelligence was affected by nurture would look at the child's educational background as well as how his or her parents raised her. These individuals would state that the intelligence level which permitted the child to be so successful, is largely the result of the child's upbringing and the school system.
2. Say your child has great manners and is sweet. That child was more then likely raised in a very christian like family where the parents are very respectful.
3. Some people would argue that children get to go to college only because there parents provided it for them.
4. Some people would argue that the child's genre of music is based off of what his or her parents have listened to.
5. Accents also are an example of Nurture, your accent or word choice is what you were raised around and how your parents taught you how to talk.

 MY OWN PERSONAL TAKE:
I would say that i agree with both sides of the argument in each way. I do believe that in Nature, if the parents are tall, you get that from them and that is an advantage that you were born with but rather you were good or bad at basketball is really up to the child.  I also agree with Nurture when it says that the way you respond to things such as using manners is how your parents raised you and who you were raised around.. but any child could be nice and have manners no matter where or how you were raised because in the end its really up the child and how the child wants to act.

Sensation and perseption

Image result for worlds largest 3d street artSensation: is a physical feeling or perception resulting from something that happens to or comes into contact with the body.

Perception: is the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses.

For example in the video of the worlds largest 3d street art it uses a lot of perception such as, the 3d element itself. The pictures of the ground itself because, you can see and become aware
of what the image is actually doing. You can clearly see that the ground is breaking and that there is a massive hole in the ground and that there is a waterfall in the far back. That is called Perception because you can see and become aware of what is happening in the image.

In the video of Anamorphic Illusions it shows multiple objects laying on a piece of paper but when you move the paper in a certain angle, it shows and looks like a different image. Below i will show yall an example.

In the 3rd video over cyber senses it uses a lot of perception, it shows for example how a girl can hear for the very first time.

The science of why nobody see's the same color of the dress in the image below is because
it's about primal biology and the way human eyes and brains have evolved to see color in a sunlit world.
Light enters the eye through the lens—different wavelengths corresponding to different colors. The light hits the retina in the back of the eye where pigments fire up neural connections to the visual cortex, the part of the brain that processes those signals into an image.

brain and behavior

The human brain is an amazing and is also the most powerful tool to the human body.. It allows us to learn see, hear, remember, perceive, understand and create language. This work can range from exploring how we learn language to understanding the interplay between cognition and emotion. The human brain has been called the most complex object and is the final frontier in the universe.

Behavioral psychology is the study of connection
between our minds and our behavior. Sometimes you
will hear behavior psychology referred to as
behaviorism. The researchers and scientists who study
behavioral psychology are trying to understand why we
behave the way we do and they are concerned with
discovering patterns in our actions and behaviors.
The hope is that if we can use behavioral psychology
to help us predict how humans will behave, we can
build better habits as individuals, create better products
as companies, and develop better living spaces as
communities.

The intersection between psychology and mind/brain/behavior is concerned with how mental capacities -- such as memory, perception, mental imagery, and language -- arise from brain function. Thus, studies in the Cognitive Science track involve studying mechanisms that ultimately produce cognition and behavior. Therefore, students and scholars in these areas study both the brain and behavior.

brain and behavior

Bio psychology is a branch of psychology that
analyzes how the brain, neurotransmitters, and other
aspects of our biology influence our behaviors,
Doctor and nurse examining CT scan digital tablet thoughts, and feelings .. Bio psychologists often
look at how biological processes interact with
emotions, cognition's, and other mental processes.

The area of psychology that seeks to understand how the brain affects behavior is known as bio psychology. The brain and behavior is very important in physiology.

To start off with, lets talk about the brain. Technological advances in recent years have allowed scientists to study the human brain in ways that were not possible in the past. The brain is responsible for our moods that we generally are in. The role of the human brain is
intimately intertwined with behavior and mental processes. ... other brain abnormalities can be used to understand the functions of a healthy brain and their impact on behavior.

Now lets talk about behavior. Human Behavior refers to the full range of physical and emotional behaviors that humans engage in biologically, socially, intellectually and are influenced by culture, attitudes, emotions, values, ethics, authority, rapport, persuasion, coercion and genetics.People use the behavior in there brain daily. Behavior is an approach in psychology which studies observable behavior, emphasizing the role that conditionally plays in influencing a person's thoughts and actions.

Sports psychology

Image result for psychology       Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and its functions, especially those affecting behavior in a given concept. Psychology and a psychiatrist are two completely different things for those who didn't know. A psychiatrist is in the medical field to where a psychologist isn't. Psychology is very important because it is the study of peoples behavior, performance, and mental operations. It also refers to the application of the knowledge, which can be used to understand events, treat mental health issues, and improve education, employment and relationships.

Every subject involves other areas of study, including humanities, natural science, and social science. Psychology also includes Sports, Education, Business, Media, Physical conditions, human development. My favorite out of all is a sport psychologist. When athletes have a problem they turn to a sport psychologist for help.So I would say that a sport psychologist would be my favorite.

Athletes may become anxious or lose focus during a competition for example. They might have trouble communicating with each other on a team, controlling there temper or even just motivating themselves. So that's where a sports psychologist comes into place and helps out the athlete.

I have always been very interested in a sports psychologist because I enjoy the way they interact with the athlete. Sports psychologist can help with athletes at all levels deal with pressures from parents, coaches or even there own expectations.

About me

My name is Cailey Fryar, I am a freshman at Hardin Simmons University. I was born in Midland Texas and grew up in Abilene and Merkel. My hometown is in Merkel Texas which is about 15 minutes from Abilene. I am going to Hardin Simmons because I didn't want to be far away from my hometown so i could spend time with my family. I am a nursing major and once I graduate HSU my goal is to go to Anesthesiology school. Ever since I was little I have watched everyone in my family go into the medical field so i have always been very interested in it and wanted to follow in my mom’s footsteps.

I am currently a cheerleader at HSU, I have been cheering ever since I could walk. My mom had me in cheer when I was two and ever since then I have traveled all over the world for competitive cheer including a cheer competition on a cruise ship. I also joined the junior high cheer team at school when i was in the 7th grade and cheered into high school with competitive cheer on the side. I would say that cheering is my favorite hobby.

I have 2 younger sisters , a younger brother and a older sister. There is Madison who is 13, Maciee who is 8, Hayden who is 17 and Autum who is 23. My parents are also in the process as of now of adopting a little girl who is 7 months named Nevaeh. My family is very big, loud and noisy but there is never a dull moment around any of us.

At my house we have two blue heelers named Lilly and Kodah and i also have a Pomeranian named Roxie. We live out in the country so we have a lot of other animals including cattle. When I was little My dad always had me in stock showing so I showed steers and pigs just like my father did in School.
